Machined Accessories

I am currently offering spinning tops, rings and pens made from unique materials. My favorite materials to work in is Timascus™. Created by Alpha Knife Supply, Timascus is a forge welded laminate material composed alternating layers of different titanium alloys. I start with solid billets of material that I machine into spinning tops, rings or pens. Unlike traditional "precious metals" Damascus and Timascus rings cannot be sized due to their material properies.

Yes, tops, like when you were a kid, only precision machined for spins in the minutes long, not seconds.

Ring Pricing and Pictures All my rings are machined from a solid barstock. Because of the nature of titanium and stainless steels the rings are ordered to size, and cannot be resized like gold jewelry. While I try to keep a few rings on hand, for the most part they are made to order. If you are looking for something totally unique I can work with you to come up with a custom design. Timascus™ Rings: I am proud to offer rings made from Timascus™, a pattern welded titanium laminate. The pattern used for these rings is a twist composed of CP and 6AL4V alloys. Thomas Stainless Damascus: For those of you who prefer a more traditional materials choice, I offer twist pattern Stainless Damascus from Thomas Damascus. Those of you familiar with his blade steel may be familiar with his AEB-L and 304 mix. The rings are machined, then heat treated and properly tempered. I lightly etch the inside with a deeper etch on the outside, then polish the etched surfaces to a satin/smooth finish. I have found this to be the best combination of striking contrast and comfortable wearability. To the right you will find my standard offering - "Domed with 2 stepped edges." Twist Pen: The Twist Pen is a semi-custom pen with body machined from a solid billet of Timascus and the fittings from a high quality kit. The body has a curved contour so that it sits nicely in the hand. Creating a pen with a combination of unique materials and premade fittings allows me to offer this fine writing instrument at a significantly lower price point than a full custom pen.
